This Bone Niho has a wheku carved into the taonga, with paua inlay for eyes and beautiful designs etched into its surface. Normally Niho are the teeth of Whales or Sharks but can be carved from bone or stone.

Niho is the Māori word for tooth, it symbolises strength, leadership, and resilience.
